Delete your Shankh account and data

Shankh is the on-call and incident alerting app by Frigga. This page explains how to delete your Shankh account or some of your data, what we delete, and what we keep.

How to request deletion

1. Email hello@frigga.cloud from the email address you use to sign in to Shankh.
2. Use the subject "Delete my Shankh account".
3. Tell us whether you want your whole account deleted, or only some data, for example your phone number or profile photo.

We'll reply within 3 business days and complete your request within 30 days. To make sure nobody else can delete your account, we may ask you to confirm the request from your account's email address.

If your account was given to you by your employer, you can also ask your organisation's Shankh admin to remove you.

Data you can remove yourself, without asking us

• Phone number, job title and bio: open your profile in the Shankh app, clear the field and save.
• This phone's notifications: sign out in Settings → Sign out. This removes the phone's notification token from your account.

What we delete

When we delete your account, we delete:

• your profile: name, email address, phone number, job title, bio and profile photo;
• your notification settings and the notification tokens of your devices;
• your active sign-in sessions;
• your access to your organisation's workspaces.

This data is removed from our active systems within about one hour of the deletion being carried out.

What we keep, and for how long

• Your organisation's incident history. Incidents, and the acknowledgements, notes and comments you added to them, are part of your organisation's records, so they stay with your organisation. Your name on them is kept. They are kept for as long as your organisation keeps its Shankh data.
• Records we must keep by law, such as billing, tax, security and audit records. These are kept only for the period the law requires.
• Backups. Copies of your data in backups are deleted as the backups are replaced, within 30 days.
