Share the stakeholder live page
Shankh can expose a live incident link for non-technical stakeholders. Open Stakeholder view to see incidents that have a stakeholder page.
Share the live link
- Open Stakeholder view.
- Find the incident under its workspace — live incidents are grouped by workspace.
- Copy the live link.
- Open the link yourself and check what a stakeholder will see before you send it.
- Share it with the stakeholders who need progress.
https://<your-shankh-host>/live/<incident>Post an update stakeholders can see
- Open the incident in Incidents.
- Add a progress update rather than an internal comment.
- Save the update.
- Refresh the live page and confirm it appears in the timeline.
Internal comments are not the same as stakeholder progress updates. Only progress updates are intended for the live page.
Know what is public
The page can show current status, the affected service or workspace, the title and description, trigger time, last update time, the progress timeline, acknowledgement, severity changes, progress updates and resolution.
Assume anyone who has ever received the link can still read it. Treat every incident title, description and progress update as public from the moment you share one.
The link is /live/ plus eight hex characters. It never expires, cannot be revoked or disabled, and stays reachable after the incident is resolved — the live handler checks nothing about who is opening it. There is no noindex, so the only thing keeping it private is that the slug is unguessable.
