Add Vörr to Claude or ChatGPT
Bring Vörr's engineering context into the AI assistant you already use, so it can retrieve facts about your code, cloud and live engineering signals during a conversation.
Before you start
You need:
- A Vörr account in an onboarded organization
- At least one repository, cloud account or engineering-data connector in Vörr
- An AI plan that supports custom connectors
Get the connection details from Vörr
Open Chat in Vörr and choose Connect with ChatGPT or Connect with Claude. Vörr shows the steps for that provider and the MCP URL to copy.

Add the connector
In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors, select Add custom connector, give it a name and paste the Vörr MCP URL into the remote MCP server URL field, then Continue. In ChatGPT, use the equivalent custom connector setting.

Authorize access
Your browser opens the Vörr consent screen. Sign in if required, review the requested access and choose Allow.
The authorization is tied to your user and organization. It does not expose Vörr's stored cloud, Git or observability credentials to the AI assistant.
Verify the connection
Ask a question that requires your organization's data:
Using Vörr, list our internet-facing resources and identify the source and scan coverage.
The connection is working when the response contains your real resources or services with Vörr provenance.
Use Vörr with other context
Your AI remains responsible for the conversation and reasoning. Vörr supplies facts about connected code, cloud infrastructure and live engineering signals, so the AI can combine them with other available context without requiring you to leave the conversation.
Remove access
Remove the connector from the AI assistant's connector settings. Revoking the connector does not remove or change anything inside Vörr.
If the connection fails
- The connector cannot be added
- Confirm that the URL ends in /api/v1/mcp.
- The consent request is invalid or stale
- Restart the connection from the AI assistant.
- You are asked to sign in again
- Reconnect so authorization can be refreshed.
- The answer says nothing is connected
- Finish the relevant Vörr setup or connection.
- A capability is unavailable
- Connect a source that provides that data.
